Ric Pipino is the founder of PIPINO, Inc., and a world renowned hair stylist. He is known for his acclaimed work in fashion, with the Hollywood elite, and his loyal clientele of women, men and children around the globe. His decades-long career began in his native Sydney as one of five Australian Italian boys from a Calabrian family, three of whom became hairstylists. Ric grew up training at his brother’s Sydney salon, later becoming a top stylist among the London fashion elite and working with Harper’s & Queen and British Vogue before he turned 20.
After establishing himself in New York City at his brother’s legendary salon, Pipino Buccheri, Ric’s reputation grew as a favorite “it” stylist among the most beautiful people in the world, including Lady Gaga, Heidi Klum, Donna Karan, Chelsea Leyland, Bridget Moynahan, Christie Brinkley and Sailor Brinkley Cook, Joan Allen, Zoe Kravitz, Christina Aguilera, Jane Krakowski, Petra Nemcova, Christy Turlington and many, many more. Ric’s work has been seen on countless covers and spreads for Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Glamour and many others for 40+ years.
He opened and directed two eponymous Manhattan salons, uptown and downtown, also establishing salons at Shore Club in Miami and NYC’s Bryant Park Hotel. Ric continues to host pop up events around the world via the popular PIPINO POP IN series, working with long time hospitality partners such as THOMPSON, Edition, JW Marriott in Monterrey and St Regis Mexico City, Gurney’s Montauk and The Delano, and brand partners such as Saks Fifth Avenue, FACE Stockholm and Onda Beauty.
