Aki Naito
Born in Tokyo, Aki began his career as a hairstylist in Japan before moving to New York.
Aki believes that everyone has their own beauty, and he enjoys bringing that out through their hair. He pays close attention to each person’s natural hair texture, growth patterns and movement. He also considers their lifestyle and how they take care of their hair at home.
He cuts almost like a sculptor, working with the natural texture, movement and shape of the hair. Every haircut begins with a thorough consultation, and once he starts cutting, he likes to focus on the work in front of him.
His goal is to create a haircut that not only looks good when you leave the salon, but also works in everyday life. A haircut that is easy to maintain and looks good with or without a blow-dry.
